The March 11 Tsumani and Earthquake in Japan not only rattled the lives of Japan citizens, but had near by nations worrying about their safetie. Singpore, which is over 3,000 miles away from Japan, had concern about being affected by the radiation from the Fukuskima nuclear power plant.
However, when the S.A.S. student docked in Singapore on March 22, news reports assured that there were very low levels of radiation being reported. A group of government agencies and minstries have been conducting around the clock monitoring of the radiation level.
Singapore is careful of its import from Japan currently, especialyy food, which it is not accepting.
